There is something indescribably magical about a Split sunset, especially when experienced on a beach like Kašjuni, hidden in the embrace of Marjan, with the sound of the sea and the scent of pine trees. Surprise engagements always carry that special, tangible energy - a mix of secret anticipation and slight nervousness. In documentary photography, the greatest privilege is catching that first, unfiltered shock, the tears of joy, and the pure, sincere embrace.

Tips for a perfect surprise engagement
Planning with the photographer - detailed agreement on the location, signals, and my "hiding place" - secrecy is key, and good joint preparation ensures the moment remains a complete surprise.
Take advantage of the golden hour - Dalmatia is most beautiful when the sun starts falling towards the horizon; the soft light will give your photos a warm, romantic, and almost cinematic atmosphere.
Stay in the moment - when you kneel down, take a deep breath and forget about the camera. Focus only on her, that moment belongs exclusively to you, and it is up to me to capture it completely unnoticed and forever.
